   I am a direct descendant of Francesco Montanari through my maternal grandmother, Eleanor Montanari.
   May the memory of Francesco Montanari always be a blessing.
   May his sacrifice and those of his comrades who paid the ultimate price for the freedom of Italy never be forgotten in Italy.
